Volunteers help to make the Dogwood Festival a success year after year.  If you are looking to volunteer, please fill out the following application and click submit.

This is an application to participate as a volunteer in the 2008 Fayetteville Dogwood Festival, (FDF).  This application is only valid for the person who completes it.  Each volunteer must fill out his/her own application to be considered.  Each member of a group must fill out individual applications and the group section of the application to be considered for the same volunteer position.  FDF cannot guarantee that groups will be assigned to the same volunteer time or position but will try its best to fulfill requests. 

All volunteers must be at least 13 years old to participate.  There are specific restrictions and age requirements for each position.

All volunteers are required to attend the volunteer orientation on April 22 at 6:30pm at Festival Park.

Friday, April 25: 5-10pm

Saturday, April 26: 8am-1pm
Saturday, April 26: 10:30am-3:30pm
Saturday, April 26: noon-5pm
Saturday, April 26: 2-7pm
Saturday, April 26: 4-9:30pm

Sunday, April 27: 11am-3:30pm
Sunday, April 27: 1:30-6:30pm


By applying to be a volunteer, you agree to the following:

** I understand, if assigned to work at the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival, I will check in 15 minutes before my assigned time rain or shine.

** I acknowledge that I am aware of the risks associated with the participation of this event and on my behalf and that of my heirs, do hereby release the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival, Fayetteville NC, and all their employees, sponsors, and agents, from all claims, liabilities, and/or damages on account of my personal injury or property damages which may occur from any cause before, during, or after the 26th Fayetteville Dogwood Festival.

Informational Guide (be familiar with & assist with all activities taking place during festival) Friday-Sunday
Pageant (assist with stage set up, dress rehearsal) Friday, April 18 & Saturday, April 19
Safety/Security (manning different areas to ensure festival goers are being safe) Friday-Sunday
Sponsor Hospitality (assist in keeping area clean and assisting sponsors) Friday-Sunday Limited Positions
Vendors (assist with check-in, set up, and assistance throughout the festival) Saturday-Sunday Limited Positions

Dogwood Festival cannot guarantee pairing but will do its best to accommodate requests.

You must be in good health to participate.  Volunteers may be required to walk in excess of 2 miles or be in weather conditions.  For security reasons, there will be no walk up volunteers.  Email volunteer@faydogwoodfestival.com for more information.

****Mandatory Training Session on April 22 at 6:30pm at the Festival Park Promenade, park behind Festival Park Plaza Bldg.
